Visitation Policy
Our Visitation Process
Thank you for your interest in adopting an Okefeild Acres Teddybear Goldendoodle! Many breeders do not allow visits to their home but we know that having a personal visit to meet a prospective puppy in person is important to you. We work hard to make visits available while also considering the safety of our puppies and of our family as well.
Unfortunately, not everyone requesting a visit has good intent. Animal activists, those planning a theft and those purposely exposing themselves to bacteria and virus to track onto our property are all very real concerns. Therefore, we have put a process in place to welcome our truly interested customers. We have found that serious families respect our process as they would consider these same things if they were welcoming unknown people into their own homes.
Puppies Six Weeks And Under
For the protection of our unvaccinated puppies under six weeks of age, these puppies are not available for visits.
For clients who have applied and placed their $500 deposit, puppy choice visits will be scheduled for six to seven weeks of age, after their first Parvo vaccination.
Visits For Available Puppies
Submit your application to introduce yourself and to list the puppy that you are interested in. Upon approval, a Facetime call will be scheduled to introduce the puppy to you.
If you are interested in moving forward, a $500 deposit invoice will be e-mailed to you from Paypal. This amount applies towards the price of your puppy and is required to visit the puppy that you are interested in. This amount covers our time to prepare the puppy and paperwork and shows your serious intent to adopt.
Visits are available Monday - Friday and on a case by case basis on Saturdays from 11:00 - 4:00.
Sundays we are not available for visits.
Deposits are not refundable but can be transferred to another available puppy of your choice.
Deposit is required to visit, no exceptions. Remember, we don’t have to make visits available, we are doing this out of respect for you. Please respect our process as well.
